Challenge

Sign-ups for the employee wellness program had been disappointing across the company’s regional stores. Before rolling it out companywide for the first time, Kroger wanted to create a new campaign that would generate excitement…and of course, engagement!

Solution

With a companywide rollout to locations spread across 35 states, we knew branding would be key. We created a vibrant, playful logo and a bright color scheme to be used in all communications. With a multi-channel approach, and a tug at the emotions, we created an engaging campaign with multiple communications.

  • Brochures and postcards mailed home to kick off the wellness season in general and introduce the new program.
  • Lifesize cutout characters made of colorful “action words” that traveled around the nation to various events and activities.
  • Grommeted banners to hang in stores and at events.
  • Employee stories of success to include in many of the communications.
  • Table tents and posters for breakrooms, kitchen areas, and timeclock spaces.
  • Pocket cards with relevant health information to hand out at activity challenges and wellness events.
  • Screening take-home flyers to record biometric numbers, with incentives and benefits information on the back.
