Why March 8 should be on your HR radar

Workplace inclusivity is a topic that’s never far from the minds of HR professionals, perhaps now more than ever as the shockwaves of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements are creating conversations about workplace gender equity and power dynamics across the country.

Today, International Women’s Day, marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Major organizations like Amazon, Caterpillar, McDonalds, and MetLife are rallying around #PressforProgress as a challenge to think, act, and be gender inclusive.

As an HR leader, one of the most powerful things you can do to recognize and advance the contributions of women is to support women owned businesses, and they sorely need you. According to the 2017 American Express State of Women Owned Businesses report, women owned businesses account for 39 percent of all firms in the U.S., but only 4.2 percent of business revenue.

You can be part of the change by making the commitment to require diversity from your service vendors, and by looking for the “Women Owned Business” logo when choosing a partner for HR and benefits communications.

Write On Target, Inc. is not only a proud women owned business, but also a full-service HR communications agency with a 20+ year track record of delivering above-average ROI for our clients. Whether it’s end-to-end benefits enrollment communications, creative wellness programs, compliance documents, or Total Rewards campaigns, we make it simple and seamless for you. And by choosing to work with Write On Target, or ANY women owned business, you’re making a difference.

Join the Movement and #PressforProgress
